Privacy Policy

We treat your personal and health information the way we treat you in the treatment room — carefully, and with your consent.

1. Who We Are

A’Luxe Medical Aesthetics (“A’Luxe,” “we,” “us”) operates a medical aesthetics practice at 4999 Carolina Forest Blvd, Ste 18, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579, and the website at aluxemedicalaesthetics.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to this website, our online booking, and the forms you complete in the office.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you give us. Name, phone number, email address, date of birth, appointment preferences, and anything you write in a contact or consultation form.
  • Health information. Medical history, medications, allergies, skin and body assessments, treatment notes, consent forms, and before/after photographs — collected only in the course of providing care.
  • Payment information. Processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Website usage. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar analytics data collected automatically.

3. How We Use It

  • To provide, plan and document your treatment safely.
  • To schedule, confirm, remind and follow up on appointments.
  • To process payment and maintain business records.
  • To answer questions you send us.
  • To send promotional offers and practice news — only if you have opted in, and only until you opt out.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and professional record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or rent your health information under any circumstances.

4. Protected Health Information

Clinical information you provide in connection with treatment is handled as protected health information and is kept separate from marketing data. It is disclosed only to the clinical staff involved in your care, to a provider you ask us to coordinate with, to our payment processor for the limited purpose of billing, or where disclosure is required by law. Where a separate Notice of Privacy Practices is provided to you in the office, that notice governs your clinical records; this policy governs the website.

5. Photographs

Before and after photographs are clinical records. We take them to track your results. We will never publish, post or use a photograph of you in marketing without a separate, specific written release — and consenting to treatment is not consent to publication. You may withdraw a photo release at any time and we will stop future use, though we cannot recall material already distributed.

6. Text Messages and Email

If you provide a mobile number, we may send appointment confirmations, reminders and account notices by SMS. These are transactional and tied to your visit. Marketing texts are sent only with your express written consent. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of that stream, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of marketing does not stop appointment reminders. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

7. Who We Share It With

We share information with service providers who help us operate — scheduling and booking software, payment processing, email and SMS delivery, and website hosting and analytics. They receive only what they need to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order or regulatory authority, to protect the safety of a person, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the practice, in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred information.

8. Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences and understand how visitors use the pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do. Most browsers also offer a Do Not Track signal; because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting it, we do not currently respond to it.

9. How Long We Keep It

Clinical records are retained for the period required by South Carolina law and applicable professional standards. Marketing contact details are kept until you opt out or ask us to delete them. Website analytics data is retained in aggregate. When information is no longer needed for a legal or clinical purpose, it is securely destroyed.

10. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal or health information we hold about you.
  • Correction. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete information, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
  • Opt out. Withdraw consent to marketing email or SMS at any time.
  • Restriction. Ask us to limit certain uses or disclosures of your health information.

To exercise any of these, call (843) 796-3384 or write to us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.

11. Security

We use administrative, physical and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls, encrypted transmission and staff training. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

12. Children

Our services and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Patients under 18 are treated only with the consent and presence of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practice or the law changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
