Pico Laser Tattoo Removal Myrtle Beach

Picosecond pulses shatter ink into particles small enough for your body to carry away — fewer sessions than traditional lasers, and less trauma to the skin around it. Tattoos, eyebrows and eyeliner. From $125 a session.

The Technology

Shatter the ink. Not the skin.

A tattoo is permanent because the ink particles are too large for your immune system to remove. Every laser removal works the same way in principle — break the particles down until the body can finally clear them — but how a laser delivers that energy decides how much collateral damage your skin takes along the way.

Older nanosecond lasers rely largely on heat, which is why they carry a higher risk of blistering and scarring. Picosecond technology fires in trillionths of a second — pulses short enough to shatter pigment through a photomechanical shockwave rather than by cooking it. The ink fragments more finely, your body clears it faster, and the surrounding tissue absorbs far less heat.

In practice that means fewer sessions, better performance on the stubborn colours that older lasers struggle with, and a gentler recovery. It also makes Pico effective on ink that a previous course of treatment elsewhere failed to shift.

Pico is used here for:

  • Unwanted tattoos, black and coloured
  • Faded or misshapen permanent eyebrows
  • Permanent eyeliner
  • Work left behind by an incomplete removal elsewhere
  • Lightening a tattoo ahead of a cover-up

What to expect:

  • It is a series, not an appointment. Ink clears gradually between visits — the fading happens in the weeks after each session, not on the table
  • Sessions are spaced weeks apart to give your immune system time to carry away the shattered pigment before the next pass
  • How many you need depends on the tattoo — ink colour, density, depth, age, placement and your skin type all change the answer, which is why it is quoted at consultation rather than promised online
  • Minimal downtime. Expect temporary redness and swelling over the treated area
  • Black ink responds most predictably. Some colours are more stubborn than others, and no honest provider will guarantee a specific end point before seeing the work

Before you book:

  • Keep the area out of the sun and off the sunbed before and throughout your course — tanned skin changes how the laser targets pigment
  • Do not pick or scratch the treated area while it settles
  • Tell us about any previous removal attempts, and about medication or conditions affecting healing or photosensitivity

Please note: pricing on this page is per session, by treated area. Results vary with ink and skin type, and a complete plan — area sizing, session count and total cost — is confirmed at your consultation before anything is booked.

Sessions & Pricing

Priced by area. Charged per session.

Every price below covers one treatment session on the area shown. Because a full removal is a series, we size the area and map the likely number of sessions at your consultation — so you know the real cost of the outcome, not just the cost of the first visit.

Regret permanent makeup done within the last 24–48 hours? Do not book Pico — fresh, unsettled pigment responds better to emergency saline removal, and that window is short, so call rather than booking online. Pico is the right answer once the work has healed and settled. Planning to replace what you remove? Amber can map the new shape once the area has cleared — see permanent makeup. Want the session count before you commit? Book a Pico consultation — $60, and the deposit goes toward your final cost.
